Tamarind fish fry (fish fried in a tamarind juice ) easy to make and very tasty

Step 1


  • Red chilli powder – 3 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tablespoon
  • Black pepper powder – 3 tablespoon
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Water – 2 to 3 tablespoon
  • Fish – 1 kg


Mix all the ingredients mentioned above and marinate the fish for about 30 minutes.

Step 2


  • Tamarind – lemon sized
  • Water – 1/2 cup


Soak the tamarind in the water to prepare the juice.

Step 3


  • Oil  – enough for frying the fish


Into a heated pan add the oil and when oil is hot, place the marinated fish pieces for shallow frying. Then pour 2 to 3 tablespoons of the tamarind juice on the top.

Add curry leaves. When one side of the fish is done, flip it and pour the tamarind juice. Cook till its finely done.
