How to Easily Cook Traditional Chicken Vindaloo

Coconut Vinegar -2/3 Tsp
Dried Kashmiri Chilli – 15 to 20 nos (30 mint soaked)
Garlic – 1 pod
Ginger – 1-inch piece
Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
Black Pepper Corns – 1 Tsp
Cloves – 10 nos
Cinnamon Stick – 1-inch piece
Salt – as needed


Chicken – 1 Kg
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp

Preparing Chicken Vindaloo

Onion – 2 nos (Thin Slices)
Tomato – 2 nos (Finely Chopped)
Green Chilli – 2 to 3 nos (Finely Chopped)
Garlic – 2 cloves (Thin, Long Slice)
Oil – 2 to 3 Tbsp
Sugar – 1 Tbsp
Salt – as needed
Water – 1 Cup

Preparation of Traditional Chicken Vindaloo:

Add oil, add sliced garlic and saute for a minute. After that, add sliced onion, salt and saute till onion turns light brown. When onion turns light brown, add chopped tomatoes, green chillies and cook till oil separates and tomatoes turn mushy. In goes the marinated chicken. Fry for 5 minutes over high flame till chicken is well coated. When chicken is well coated, add 1 cup of water (can add more water later if needed), mix well, and cover and cook over low flame. When chicken is cooked well, add sugar, and cook till gravy thickens. And, Chicken Vindaloo is ready to serve.
