Crispy fried chicken | Broasted chicken | How to make restaurant style fried chicken

Step 1

Ingredients

  • Chicken legs – 6 nos

Preparation

Brine the chicken pieces overnight. Then wash and drain them.

Step 2

Ingredients

  • Butter milk – 1 cup
  • Salt – as needed
  • Ginger powder – 1 tsp
  • Garlic powder – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Corn starch – 1 tsp
  • Brown sugar – 1 tsp
  • Mixed herbs – 1 tsp
  • Egg – ½ of 1 beaten egg

Preparation

Mix all the above ingredients well and marinate the chicken for 3 hours.

Step 3 (flour mix for coating crust)

Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour – 1 cup
  • Corn starch – 2 tbsp
  • Baking soda – ¼ tsp
  • Black pepper powder – ½ tsp
  • Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
  • Ginger powder – ½ tsp
  • Garlic powder – ½ tsp
  • Mixed herbs – ½ tsp
  • Salt – as needed
  • Bread crumbs – 2 tbsp

Preparation

Mix well all the above ingredients and keep aside.

Step 4

Ingredients

  • Oil – for deep frying
  • All-purpose flour – 2 to 3 tbsp

 Preparation

Remove the excess marinade from the chicken to another bowl after 3 hours. Add 2 to 3 tbsp of all- purpose flour into the chicken and mix well. Now roll the chicken pieces in the prepared flour mix (step 3), then dip in the marinade which we removed from the chicken and roll again in the flour mix. Fry it in the oil over low to medium flame. Maintain the temperature of the oil, else the chicken remains uncooked from inside. Fry till the brown and cooked well from inside. Enjoy hot!!!
