Kappa ilakkiyathu (mashed tapioca)
Step:1
Ingredients
- Fresh grated coconut – 1 1/2 cup
- Green chilli – 3 nos
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Garlic – 1 big clove
Preparation
Coarse grind all the above ingredients together.

Ingredients
- Tapioca – 1.5 kg
- Water – as needed for boiling
- Salt – as per taste
- Curry leaves – handful
Preparation
Peel and wash tapioca. Cut into small pieces and wash it few times to remove the starch. Boil the tapioca in enough water by adding some salt. Cook till it turns soft but stiff (Do not over cook it). Drain the water and add the ground mix (step 1) and curry leaves. Cook over low flame for few minutes. This will remove excess water from it. Mash it and mix well. Enjoy it with fish curry etc.
